Josu Salts is a family-owned literal farm-to-table salt company started four generations ago on a salt farm in Korea and brought to the US as a direct-to-consumer brand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the designer and content strategist for Josu, I was responsible for graphics, layout, social media, copywriting, and everything in between. I worked on packaging labels, recipe writing/testing and the ensuing photography, web layout, influencer outreach and building a collaboration program, and even some R&D.

Scope: layout for graphics/web/newsletter, design, copywriting, copy editing, typesetting, print preparation, photography, photo editing.

How It’s Made: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom

4” x 4” packing cards:
Designed to share more about the brand in customer packages, with an additional card created for each influencer flavor.

Jar labels + tabs:
Designed for updated Josu packaging with the desire for clear plastic and glass jars and a transparent label. The tabs were created as a seal for the jars, while also providing an opportunity for additional branding and color.

Designing for Instagram:
Product + food photography, photo editing, social media graphics, with some recipe testing and writing for the website too.

Interview question cards:
Designed for Josu co-founder and CEO Parker Thomas to “go live” on social media (or pre-record) interviews with influencers in advance of their collaboration launch/product drop.
